Kidz Connection

Children's Wednesday School: 6:00 p.m. (September - May)

Christian Education is offered to all children starting when they're 3 years old on up through 5th grade.  In 6th-8th grade, these students attend Confirmation instruction.

At Holy Cross children are important to us and we understand part of our mission of reaching out to the "unchurched" is reaching out to children who are just beginning to learn about Jesus and God's love for them.  The curriculum we use is Bible focused and is designed to teach children God's stories.

Confirmation

• 6-8 Grade Confirmation students meet with Pastor Tony on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.

Senior High Peer Ministry

Every Sunday a night at 7:00 p.m. senior high youth come together to think about how they can live out their faith in real and meaningful ways.  At the end of a year of training they will be commissioned as Peer Ministers.

Prayer Warriors

Prayer Warriors meet on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

In addition, Prayer Warriors are connected through an e-mail list and calling chain and offer regular prayers for the sake of the church and the world.  This is one of the most important ministries at Holy Cross.  Interested parties should contact Janel Ellingson at 225-6661 or by e-mailing Janel at ellijan@nvc.net

Women's Book Study

On the third Thursday of each month, women of Holy Cross gather at 6:30 p.m. for prayer, fellowship and the reading and study of a good book.  Currently they are working their way through Mike Yaconelli's "Messy Spirituality".  You can see more about this book and purchase it at Amazon Books or by clicking on the title.

All women are invited to join us.  The atmosphere is friendly and casual and you can even come if you haven't had a chance to do the reading yet.

Men's Group

The Holy Cross Men's Group meets on the 1st & 3rd Saturdays of each month at 7:00 a.m. at Hardees Restaurant.

We share stories about what's happening in our lives, do a quick Bible study, pray for one another and give one another encouragement.

All men are invited to join us.

Ministry Teams

Vacation Bible School

Church League Basketball

Church League Basketball runs from January through March of each year.  This is a co-ed league that plays on Monday evenings.  Contact Ryan Punt (725-7868).  You must be 16 years old to play.  Cost to participate is $40.

Church League Softball

Each summer, Holy Cross organizes a co-ed softball team and plays in the city softball church league.  This league plays is games on Monday nights from the beginning of June until the end of August.  You must be at least 16 years old to play.  Cost to participate is $30 per person.

Beginning this year, the church softball league will play its games at the south softball complex rather than the north.
